There are some animation mods that add sheild cover in rain,etc. More immersion the better. Downloading this in order to support this goal.

I'm so glad I found the issue of the freezes in my game and this patch. Never had an outdoor combat freeze anymore and my heavily modded Skyrim finally runs stable. Thanks a lot!

This may have helped remove some of my freezes even in non cold areas, but I still do get the occasional freeze. But it does not seem to be as much as after installing this mod.

Sadly this does not work for me. I'm still getting the random freezing in the open world. My quest for a stable modded skyrim continues.

Would this be useful if using Wet and Cold - Gear or does that already do away with the freezing issue?

the Wet and Cold - Gear mod, should be without this issue, but i didn't test it
And my patch shouldnt work with his plugin, you need the original mod plugin

I have random game freezing. So that's why?!
How can I know for sure? Is there any log or something I could check?
(Downloading and installing it later, just in case.) (I'm not at my PC right now.)

That's the main issue with application freezing, it is like a crash, but it is a crash that doesn't enable a proper crash log, because it freezes the code before the log being generated and the game can't say : "HEY! I crashed!".
Just to be sure: Application/engine freezing isn't just the game having little freezes during gameplay, a freeze that you can keep playing usually caused by some memory issue. Application/ engine freezing is a freeze that completely stops the game, you can only hear a looping sound, it forces you to close the game by a task manager.

no way ! i recently got the problem exactly like you said it crashed but didn't create any crashlog in netscript framework , i thought my netscript framework didn't functional , turns out the problem was Wet And Cold then , i also just recently install Wet And Cold for the NPC hoods related .

Yes, that kind of freezing is what I meant! I need to [Ctrl+Alt+Del] an kill the game.
God, if your files fix that, will be the first time I have a heavily modded Skyrim free of CTD and/or freezing!

it isn't just combat it can also happen at other times. if i remember right its something with having to many mods using quest alias or something.
for me i got rid of it by dropping the CC survival and swapping to wet n cold gear. since i did that ive not had a single game freeze related to it. i know for some just removing CC survival was enough to stop it.

propably because CC survival has this checking in similar way and it is like firing at the same time as wet and cold. Im using with sunhelm and it is fine, i have to test with frostfall.
and i thought this thing with quest should be fixed in the last update of wet and cold, but maybe didn't.
In my modlist, the "conflict" was with mods adding onhit events and "spell cloaks"

im using frost fall and last seed. sunhelm was to simplistic for me.

gameplay wise i prefer frostfall too, but sunhelm doesn't require patches and is a single mod that does the both things in survival, i just increased the penalty for being cold

i dont have any patches for frostfall. any armors that don't show up for its warmth you set manually. last seed comes with built in support for frostfall.

for me its freezing the game when CC survival mode is on, does it fix that problem too?

From the short description and title I thought at first you might be referring to freezing- as in cold weather.
